Banco di Caribe offers multiple payment options for local businesses


The way in which businesses receive payment from their customers has drastically changed over the years. The goal of every entrepreneur or company in the near future should be to offer different payment options allowing the customer to choose their preferred method: cash, credit, debit card or e-wallets. Honestly, the entrepreneur who is focused on the future of their business is already exploring digital payment options. More and more Caribbean consumers are including online payment as their payment method of choice. What customers really want is an easy, safe and affordable way to pay. Online banking is super popular worldwide; anyone with a bank account has access to online banking. Although it has become one of the easiest ways to pay, it is not directly connected to a 'web shop' as is the case with Sentoo.


Why Sentoo?

Sentoo is considered an account-to-account (A2A) payment option. This simply means that you can make a payment from your Banco di Caribe checking account to any company’s Banco di Caribe checking account. This replaces the use of a credit card or e-wallet. The best example of an account-to-account (A2A) payment option is iDEAL in the Netherlands. The consumer has fully embraced this. Banco di Caribe is spearheading; our ABC and BES islands will soon also adopt A2A payments as their preferred option.


A transaction via Sentoo is very easy!

Instead of wasting time looking up information about a transaction, such as an account or invoice number or entering the information from your card, Sentoo takes you directly to your online banking where you only need to confirm the payment. Everything happens automatically, all you have to do is click on 'check-out', select Banco di Caribe and log in; the payment has already been prepared including all relevant information. Select your account and confirm the payment. Complete the transaction with your PIN. Banco di Caribe then approves the amount and debits your account. Both the customer and the company immediately receive a proof of payment.


Companies that are clients of Banco di Caribe and wish to offer their customers more payment options for their products or services can contact their account manager at Banco di Caribe to sign up for Sentoo's services. If you are not yet a customer of Banco di Caribe and would like to qualify for this service, you can make an appointment with Corporate Support via corporatesupport@bancodicaribe.com. Currently, Banco di Caribe is the only bank that offers this service for local businesses in Curaçao, Aruba and Bonaire.
